BRITISH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, YOUNG MUSICIAN OF THE YEAR CARIBBEAN AWARD AND OPERA SUPPORT PROGRAMME.

The Doughty Family Foundation is proud to be supporting the British Chamber of Commerce Dominican Republic to promote the exchange of culture, arts and classical music education between the Dominican Republic and the United Kingdom.

It was a major supporter of the Young Musician of the Year Caribbean Award (held every two years) partnered with UK Schools of Music which took place in March 2022.

This Award provides young musicians from the Caribbean region with an opportunity to share their skills and experience and develop their talents through the Award’s educational programme. See the photos of the recent Gala event showcasing the winners and honouring the Award supporters.

In addition, the Foundation has supported the promotion of transmission of ballet and opera performances from the Royal Opera House through screenings in Santo Domingo and Santiago, Dominican Republic.
