OUR STORY

The Doughty Foundation was founded by Nigel and Lucy Doughty in 2007 to provide support to those in need both in the UK and across the world. The Foundation has supported many projects over the last 15 years in areas of health, education, the arts and religion.

and intends to continue to expand its work with the help of new supporters. The Foundation has supported many charitable projects over the years ranging from £1,000 to a children’s playground in South London to projects of over £1 million including work with the NSPCC and the Newark Hospital, Lincolnshire. It also supports ongoing projects such as educational backpacks for schools and food boxes at Christmas and Easter in the Dominican Republic.

OUR TRUSTEES

Lucy Doughty

one of the founders, an American citizen of Dominican descent, is a philanthropist and a keen patron of the arts and sciences. She is the ambassador for the Doughty Foundation, giving insight on the Foundation’s projects to raise its profile and has a hands-on approach to help complete the many projects the Foundation has supported. Lucy is also a trustee of TheirWorld and the Galileo Foundation.

Patricia Milner

a senior lawyer specialising in private client and tax, and trusteeships. She advises single and multi-family offices and individual professionals, most of whom are international with a UK connection.

Susanna Oates

a qualified chartered tax adviser working initially in private practice, followed by many years of experience in the private equity industry, and now over a decade in wealth management and family office advisory services.
